Before anything else
Rhem is a health-support and wellness companion. It is not a medical device, it does not diagnose or treat conditions, and it is not a substitute for professional medical care or emergency services. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, contact your local emergency number.
1. Accepting these terms
By creating a Rhem account, placing an order, or using the robot, app, or website, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to create an account or place an order. Adults may set up profiles for dependents in their household and are responsible for those profiles.
3. Orders & payment
For rentals, one membership covers Rhem and its service, with no initiation fee or cancellation fee. Your selected plan is paid upfront and starts after our team confirms physical delivery. It renews automatically at the same term price unless you cancel future renewal. The exact amount and renewal interval are shown before payment and in your payment authorization. Cancellation stops the next renewal; your membership remains active through the end of your current paid billing period or prepaid term. See the Rhem Club Membership Terms for cancellation, the 30-day money-back trial and free returns.
For devices bought outright, payment is collected in full when you place your preorder. Your total includes the Founder Edition price plus applicable sales taxes. Standard shipping is included. This is a preorder, not an in-stock purchase.
- The price confirmed at checkout applies to your order. Future price changes do not increase the price of an order already paid for.
- Shipping destinations and dispatch estimates are disclosed before payment. If we cannot meet the stated dispatch window, we will notify you with a revised estimate and obtain any required consent to the delay, or cancel and refund the order.
- You can cancel before any part of your order is dispatched to your delivery address for a full refund. See Refund & Returns for cancellation, complete-order returns and extra-Halo return conditions.
- See Shipping & Delivery and Warranty Information for the coverage that applies to rented or purchased devices.
Rhem Club Membership Terms
Cancellation & Returns
Cancel anytime. Returns are on us.
If Rhem isn't right for you, cancel your membership online or contact Rhem Support. We'll guide you through returning your Rhem Bot.
How cancellation works
- Monthly memberships: Cancel anytime to stop your next monthly renewal. Your membership remains active through the end of your current paid billing period.
- Prepaid memberships: Cancel future renewal anytime. Your membership remains active through your prepaid term. Payments are non-refundable after the trial, except as required by law or otherwise provided in our terms.
- Free return shipping: When your membership ends, we'll provide a prepaid return shipping label and instructions.
- 30 days to return: You have 30 days after your membership ends to ship your Rhem Bot back.
- No additional membership charges while returning: Once your paid membership ends, you won't be billed another subscription payment while your robot is in transit.
Rhem Bot remains the property of Rhem Labs and must be returned when your membership ends. Normal wear and tear is expected. Damage beyond normal wear or failure to return the robot may result in separately disclosed charges under our return policy.
30-Day Money-Back Trial
Try Rhem at home for 30 days after delivery. If it isn't right for you, request cancellation during the trial and return the robot within the provided return window for a refund of your membership payment. Return shipping is on us.
To cancel future renewal online, sign in to the Stripe customer portal using the email you used at checkout. For pre-delivery cancellation, a trial refund or a return label, contact Rhem Support.
There is no initiation fee or cancellation fee. See rental cancellation and returns for return support. The purchase-payment, refund, return-fee and one-year warranty terms for devices bought outright do not apply to rental memberships.
4. Rhem is not medical advice
Rhem helps you track, organize, and understand wellness information in plain language, and helps you prepare for conversations with a professional. It does not diagnose, prescribe, or direct medical decisions. Readings and explanations are for general wellness support only. Always consult a qualified professional for medical concerns, and never disregard professional advice because of something Rhem said or displayed.
5. SOS & safety features — and their limits
Rhem's SOS feature can notify the emergency contacts you configure, triggered by a safety word or by radar-based detection of events such as a fall. Please understand its limits:
- SOS is a family-facing alert feature, not a guaranteed emergency-response service, and it does not dispatch emergency responders on your behalf.
- It depends on power, network connectivity, correct setup, and your contacts being reachable.
- It is not a replacement for calling your local emergency number.
6. Telehealth (planned feature)
Connecting to licensed telehealth providers is a planned post-launch integration and is not guaranteed to be available at the time your device ships. If and when it launches, telehealth services are provided by independent licensed providers, subject to their own terms, availability in your region, and applicable regulation. Rhem facilitates the connection; it is not the provider of care.
7. Your account
You're responsible for keeping your login secure and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at support@rhem.ai if you suspect unauthorized use.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the service — for example, by attempting to reverse-engineer or tamper with the device's safety functions, using it to harm or surveil others without consent, adding family profiles without permission, or interfering with our systems.
9. Intellectual property
The Rhem name, software, expression system, designs, and content are owned by Rhem Labs or our licensors. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable license to use the app and device software for their intended purpose. Your own data remains yours.
10. Software updates
We deliver updates that may add, change, or remove features over time, including planned features like telehealth. Some updates are necessary for security and reliability and may install automatically.
11. Warranties & disclaimers
Rented Rhem devices have a limited warranty for manufacturing defects for as long as your membership is active, with unlimited replacements for covered defects. Rhem pays shipping for covered warranty repairs.
For devices bought outright, each Bot, included Halo and extra Halo has a 12-month limited hardware warranty for manufacturing defects from that unit's delivery, with distinct Bot and Halo remedies explained in the warranty policy. Software and wellness guidance may be unavailable or inaccurate and are not medical advice. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Rhem Labs is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
13. Governing law
Mandatory consumer protections in your location remain applicable. Contact support for business and jurisdiction details.
14. Changes & contact
We may update these terms as the product and features evolve. The "last updated" date will reflect changes, and we'll flag material ones. Questions? Email support@rhem.ai.
